I don’t know why this isn’t front-page news, but… A Missouri court recently upheld a $611 MILLION verdict against Bayer for three people who sadly got cancer from Roundup weedkiller aka. Glyphosate. And that’s not all… Bayer also is facing 67,000 more cases with over $4 billion in verdicts already awarded! You might know Bill Gates actually invested in Bayer (it was Monsanto back then but Bayer acquired them in 2018). Whatever his intentions were, Gates arguably helped legitimize and fund the company that effectively poisoned countless people with this chemical cocktail. Well, as this verdict was announced, a MASSIVE new study dropped that should make any rational human question glyphosate. (Talk about timing!)
I could easily dedicate an entire newsletter deep diving into the crazy findings… But here’s a high level overview: First of all, this was NOT an observational study. This was a 2-year CONTROLLED study on rats exposed to glyphosate from prenatal life through 104 weeks – the gold standard for cancer research. And the results are absolutely damning. If you look at this chart below… Even at the LOWEST dose – what regulators call ‘safe’ – the rats that developed leukemia were dying at an average of 97 weeks, while higher doses killed them much faster:
This is truly alarming to me…
And here’s the part that should make every parent very concerned: 40% of the Leukemia deaths happened BEFORE the rats were even 1 year old.
That’s the equivalent of a human child getting cancer before age 35. If that isn’t convincing enough for you… In over 1,600 control rats from previous studies, ZERO cases of Leukemia occurred in the first year of life. Coincidence? Highly unlikely. Hence why researchers concluded there’s now “sufficient evidence of carcinogenicity” for glyphosate… confirming what the World Health Organization said back in 2015. So, while they continue to tell us meat causes cancer without any evidence… And this chemical is all over:
Look, if a $611 million verdict and a comprehensive 2-year study showing multiple cancers at “safe” doses isn’t proof enough that you should do your best to avoid glyphosate… I don’t know what is 😅 Over 280 MILLION pounds of glyphosate are sprayed on U.S. crops every year. It’s in the air, water, soil… it’s almost impossible to avoid at this point in most places. And if there’s one thing this whole Roundup disaster should teach us… It’s that we can’t trust the system to keep us safe. And I believe the biggest lever here is intentionality with your food choices. Avoid grain-fed meat as much as you can. The cattle eat corn and soy that may have been doused in Roundup, then concentrate those chemicals in their tissues. Do a little digging to find out how the animals are raised, what they eat (grass can be sprayed with glyphosate too!) and WHERE in proximity they are to other sprayed crop fields. For everything else… Be it fruit, vegetables (if you eat them) any produce you feed yourself and your family with… Do your research. I know that sounds exhausting – and honestly, it shouldn’t be this hard to find clean food. But even the most well-intentioned brands let things slip through the cracks… Remember, every time you choose real organic food, you’re voting against this toxic system. You’re saying NO to chemical companies poisoning our plates for profit. You’re saying YES to the way humans have always eaten. Bill Gates can keep his fake meat and his cancer-causing chemicals… While he contends with his conscience for what he has done with his investments… |
